Frida really is a star of the future and a definite one-to-watch. Having been writing her own material since the tender age of 12, Barnsley born Frida has spent the last year working with Steve and Toby from WentFest – with assistance from Eliot Kennedy - on recording and producing her debut album.
Set for release in 2025, it features an eclectic mix of songs that range from upbeat pop and dance to acoustic rock and haunting ballads – all delivered by Frida’s unique story-telling vocals.
Another fantastic star of the future, we are thrilled to welcome Tom Masters to WentFest in 2025. Fresh from recently supporting BRIT Award winner Tom Walker, Tom is an incredible songwriter, singer and musician.
Our New Music Stage has always been proud to support new, local talent and Tom Masters is definitely someone you’ll be hearing much more from in years to come.
LPMC is solo artist Lee McMahon. 'Macca' launched himself as LPMC in the summer of '22 after spending some considerable time 'on the bench' following the disbandment of his former band, the popular indie rock 4 piece, The Tivoli, in 2014.
Inspired by his working class heritage, the Rotherham based independent musician's songwriting style holds a strong dynamic posture and often explores themes of struggle and resilience against a backdrop where hope springs eternal.
LPMC's brand new EP 'The Lonely Boy Bar (Part 1)' is out now across all streaming platforms and limited edition vinyl. Part 2 due in 2025.
Barnsley based indie pop rockers Twenty Eighth Club are Joseph Goddard, Adam Wright, Zach Wilkinson, Charlie Lee and Dominic Nixon. Introducing South Yorkshire’s Stained Glass – a dynamic and electrifying band that has burst onto the scene with a force reminiscent of the Grunge era, channeling the raw power and intensity of legendary acts like Nirvana.
Comprising a group of seasoned musicians with a shared passion for guitar riffs and an unapologetic sound, Stained Glass is set to redefine the local music scene.
Inspired by the likes of The Black Keys, Jet and The Datsuns these three South Yorkshire lads released their first single, Kicking Up a Storm in 2023 and followed that up with their latest Self-titled EP, The Wichitas, featuring Wide Open World and Head in the clouds.
They are quickly building a reputation for energetic and raucous live shows.
